Title: Face of Covid

Description:

The artwork shows a woman crying because somebody has just died of Covid in a hospital. I believe this artwork was inspired by God. The theme of the Art Exhibition is "The Face of Covid", which is why we see a literal face of the woman, and you can see sadness on her face, which is what people think of when speaking about covid (due to people becoming sick and even dying). This is the face we see. However, just behind her, on a poster, is the actual, real face of covid - the corona virus, which cannot be seen with the naked eye. In the picture we see that the person behind has died, but you cannot see their face. This represents all those who have died from covid. We do not know them personally, but we hear about the number of deaths on the news all the time, which is why we dont see the persons face. We only see the womans face, which is full of sadness. This represents the sadness felt by the loved ones who are left behind. We know about them because they can share their experiences of losing somebody to covid. On the womans mask, it is written "I can't breathe", which represents what happens to the covid patients if they dont receive the proper treatment .. it becomes too late for them and they end up on ventilators because they are unable to breathe. The writing is also placed on the womans mask because this represents the fact that God did not create us to wear a mask, which is why when you do, you cannot breathe properly with the mask on. That is why the writing is on the mask. In the background we see the hospital light shining down. This is intentionally made to look like a spotlight shining downards. This represents everything that the news, newspapers, social media etc is shining the light on: we constantly see and hear about the pandemic, the number of covid cases (represented by the hospital), the number of covid deaths (represented by the person), as well as the vaccines (represented by the syringe on the table). The darkness around this light represents everything else thats going on in the world that has seemingly been pushed into the background because the news etc. mainly focuses on the covid pandemic. This spotlight also highlights everything thats going on with the covid pandemic that the news chooses to focus on by pushing a narrative, while the background, which is covered in darkness represents things that are hidden and not shown in the news or talked about, such as the US Senate trials on the origins of the corona virus, whats in the vaccines, how it works, proof of safety/efficacy etc. All of this is not being talked about and we are not being told the truth, which is why it is hidden in the dark. In the picture we see a bouquet of flowers in the hospital. Flowers represent life, which contrasts with the death caused by covid (represented by the person in the hospital bed). Flowers are also beautiful, but death is ugly. The woman is also wearing a Cross earing. The cross represents hope in times of darkness, and even in the face of death, because Jesus conquered death. The cross also represents help from God (through what Jesus did on the cross), and this is contrasted with the medical cross (as seen in the background on the cupboards), which represents help from humans (the doctors etc.)
