The title summarizes this painting well. Breaking out of something is usually associated with imprisonment and being trapped. While the expressive face depicts a longing for freedom. This abstract painting is a representation of the fear and confinement experienced during Covid times. When watching a scary movie, one occasionally peeks through the blankets. This is depicted as the girl peeks through the blinds, afraid of the horror movie on the other side. The Covid molecules are on the outside of the blinds, which is what the girl is hiding from. The multiple bright acrylic colors used in this painting depicts a rainbow and thus, having a feeling of hope during these trying times.
