Description:
The statue of liberty represents freedom from a time of slavery in our history. Covid has no boundaries. Our symbol of freedom is subject to wearing a mask over her nose and mouth making it difficult to breath or even speak. The colors used in the painting are symbolic of the diversity of people affected. Covid respects no borders. The different directions of the multicolored strokes resemble the various experiences people went through during the Covid19 pandemic, an experience of hope or despair.
