Description:
This artwork depicts a scene during hard lockdown, this was a time where it was clear that primary school children where not going back to school anytime soon. I had been sent by grandmother to take umhlonyana (medical plant) to one of her church mates, when I got there this old lady was teaching her grandchildren and making sure that there where up-to-date with their school work. This scenario touched me a lot and I asked her if I could include her in my work and tell her story.
