Artist statement:
I painted this seascape standing high above the rocks and shore on the far left of Bakoven Beach in Cape Town. From my viewpoint, I could see the turquoise translucency of the water over the rocks and sand. The colours were so varied and beautiful! I loved capturing the feeling of the water moving over the shallow rocks and sand.
*I would recommend this painting be framed with Kiaat or Poplar wood in a "box frame" - if the buyer would like, I can coordinate the framing with an artist discount of 15%.*
About the artist:

Joanna’s technical training follows the traditional academic methods of the 19th Century European Ateliers, enabling her to heighten her contemporary oil paintings with a stroke of classical realism.
