Artist statement:
One of the deepest impressions from my time in Paris was of the atmosphere of picnics and evenings on the banks of the Seine, from evening until dark, where the ! lights were magical and the Parisians and visitors made the most of the warm days and nights.This pastel is a memory from that time
About the artist:
I spent two months at the Atelier in 2014 and it was one of the most gratifying and exciting times of my life to experience all that Paris had to offer. I would love to go again and have donated R1000 so far, but wish to donate one or more paintings for the auction.
