This was created during the lootings in KZN on 12 July 2021. This piece is an ode to corruption. Lady Justice symbolises the justice system of South Africa. Lady Justice wears a blindfold.
This symbolises the blindness towards wealth, race, gender and power during judgment.
Similarly, interpret this in the same sense. Your power, race, gender and wealth does not excuse you to Justice. Interpret it as you wish from the side you wish. This artwork is chaotic, much like our country during the lootings. We are uncertain of what is going to happen, but, there is a sense of light that comes from this. The most basic of virtues - Hope.
