Alice Angela Toich is a painter based in Cape Town who works exclusively “from life”. She works in the traditional medium of oil paint on linen, canvas and wooden panels. However, she has recently started work on tiled murals and painted wall murals.
After completing a post-graduate diploma at the Michaelis School of Art at the University of Cape Town, Alice spent a short time working in advertising before focusing exclusively on her artwork. Alice also runs private tuition classes in drawing and painting alongside group workshops. This allows her to share the love of painting from life in various gardens across Cape Town.
