Yvette Polovin is a ceramic and fine artist who lives and works in Cape Town. She has a degree in ceramic design from the University of Johannesburg, and loves producing mosaic murals for decorating public spaces and private homes.
She has made the large mural at Highlands House (the Jewish old aged home in Vredehoek) and at Temple Israel in Greenpoint, which both have strong Jewish themes.
Yvette routinely teaches mosaics to seniors who produce beautiful pieces, making them very proud. She is also a painter who works with oils and acrylics on canvas, and exhibits at local galleries and online.
