Global environmental crises and the recent severe flooding in KwaZulu-Natal have
inspired Thulani Mntungwa to create a work of art featuring Cape vultures towering
over the forces of Nature as they destroys everything in their path.
Painter Sthabiso Hadebe has chosen sombre colours to evoke the seriousness of our
planet’s demise.
We are reminded of the paintings of Caspar David Friedrich, the German painter who
frequently depicted human insignificance in the face of Nature’s omnipotence.
