Description:
My artwork depicts me as a student at the University. Throughout the pandemic and lockdown procedures, we managed to still study uninterrupted and graduate with flying colours. I am proud to be a Witsie. I used blue to depict our beautiful and historic University and red to depict the pandemic. I used students joining together with arms linked to fight the pandemic holding the South African flag - unite in diversity. I have a red graduation cap and books in the bottom of the poster depicting graduation regardless of the pandemic. During this period of time, I managed to obtain my Masters of Education and graduated this year 2021 as the Top student in the Masters programme. I look at Wits with admiration and great respect for the lecturers and students for continuing the struggle to deliver and obtain the best possible university education in Africa.
